This was the best trip ever.
First of all, Piero, Natalia, and Daniella were so very sweet and helpful to us.
We had a million questions and they helped with all.
Secondly, the Villa was just as we expected.
Lovely 17th century, with beautiful furniture, which reminded me of my grandmother's days.
Very spacious and could not have asked for anything more.
It was so clean you could eat off floors.
Very close to all the attractions and beach in walking distance.
We would recommend if anyone goes to this area please deal with Piero and Natalia!!!!! You will not be sorry!! Thanks to all of you for the vacation of a lifetime!!!!.

The Hospitality of Piero WAS Super : fruit and Wine upon Arrival .
The house is a charming accomodation of XVII century Renovated in Klimt Style .
You can see from the ceiling and the furniture Inside.
We fell to over come the History . The Beach is Around 50-100 metres .
All is walking distance Balestrate is very nice town : we Will come back .

I never expected a such incredible weather in Sicily at the end of September, We had a lovely stay in Balestrate, a small town close to the Zingaro Natural reserve and Scopello where we tried the famous "pane cunzato" sunbathing in the amazing sandy beach with perfect clear water.
Thanks to Piero, We received a lot of tips and suggestions about what to do and where to go around our lovely accomodation perfect located walking distance from the beach. Very close to the Villla We've been delighted eating in several Restaurants fresh fish and tipical sicilian food. To enjoy at the best our stay we needed to rent a car because with public transport is not easy to travel in Sicily.

The room was adequate but definitely needed several upgrades.
The towels were very limited and small even for European standards.
The stove is propane and needs a lighter to work.
The lighter they had was empty and the one they replaced it with was another empty bic lighter.
It is very deceiving to say 50 meters from the beach.
This is technically true but you have to walk down the road a piece to get to the access. I think that VRBO owners need to learn how to give directions, take the exit and go into town doesn't cut it for me.
They were helpful in meeting us there and we were lucky we had the GPS and that he was outside when we pulled up and realized the guy on the phone was who we needed. They do not have a queen bed but two twins put together which is not real comfortable in the middle. Balestrade is a great place as a base to see things but there is very little there.
On 11/1 it is a holiday and the buses do not run.
The host did not know how to use the train or the bus system which is something travelers would like from their hosts. The name Golfo is also misleading as we thought we were a town further down. Piero, tried very hard to help, but he is not experienced enough to know how to be a VRBO host. The room was a nice place to base from but would not say it was anything special. .
