All utilities, towels, bedding, dishes, cookware, all the small appliances, fridge, stove, full size laundry facilities, local phone calls, wireless DSL internet connection, DVD/CD player and satellite TV, are included.   Close to a big park, community fitness centre, bicycle and jogging trails and convenient to Downtown by car or bus at the corner, and to the "alternative life" area of Commercial Drive.   THE SUITE AND ADJACENT OUTSIDE AREAS OF THE PROPERTY ARE TOTALLY NON SMOKING. The area enjoys a temperate climate, and the location, with the ocean and mountains on the doorstep is second to none in the world. From your holiday home in Vancouver, you can spend the morning on the beach, the afternoon on the slopes, and be back in time for dinner and cocktails.   Vancouver has 18 miles of beaches and over 2700 acres (11 sq. km) of parks. There are many attractions easily accessible from any area of the city: the Vancouver Museum, Science World, Maritime Museum, Art Gallery, Aquarium, Space Centre, and the renowned Botanical Gardens and Classical Chinese Garden. Your apartment location also puts you within easy distance of an outdoor wonderland – whale watching, white water sports, mountain biking on the famous North Shore trails, and, of course, fabulous winter sports. The public transit system is quite comprehensive, and gets you around the city with relative ease.   THE NEIGHBORHOOD Officially Eastside, the house is in the area know as Commercial Drive, "The Drive" considered Vancouver’s ‘Little Italy’ with its cosmopolitan mix of trendy through Bohemian to Grunge residents and visitors. Located just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Downtown it provides a more gentle, quieter way of life.   The immediate area has local individually owned convenience shops, grocery stores, Pubs and Restaurants, also a Supermarket, Banks, Drug and a Dollar store. Further away on the Drive, towards 1st Avenue, a plethora of coffee shops, a few clothing, and furniture stores and many more restaurants serving a variety of ethnic food. Good eats!.   The whole area can be walked easily, nothing is very far away.   By car about 15 minutes to the city centre, 20 mins to the airport and Richmond, and about 35mins to/from the US Border. Whistler is 1.5 to 2 hours depending on weather and traffic. Snow tires or chains are required north of Squamish at certain times during the Winter.   A short ride by Bus or Car, or a significant walk will take you to the waterfront, where bicycle and walking paths on the seawall will thread you along the edge of False Creek, past the English Bay Beaches, around Stanley Park, under the Lions Gate Bridge and alongside the First Narrows inlet and the new community of Coal Harbour - or by turning in the other direction - to Granville Island on the south side of False Creek.   Granville Island is a major attraction, housing The Emily Carr Institute of Fine Art, and a host of independent artisan's craft shops, plus many, many other small businesses - art galleries, a dive shop where you can sign up for underwater training, boat and bicycle rentals, Restaurants and Pubs.   For the 'locals' the Farmer's Market is the big attraction, with fresh everything - Seafood, meat, fruit and vegetables, baked goods and great coffee. Eat in, take out, fast food, name it, it is there.   A small brightly coloured shuttle ferry for pedestrians - bikes too if not too crowded - will get you from one side of False Creek to the other if you don't want to go all the way around. Routes to Granville Island, Stamps Landing (and Monk McQueens restaurant thrust out into the water), the Maritime Museum is a pleasant few minutes escape from the bustle of the city.
